1. Open up an image in Photoshop that you want to mask and double-click the quick mask icon in Photoshop's toolbar.
Remember, you can activate and use the quick mask tool with a single-click, but double-clicking the tool's icon opens up the Quick Mask Options dialog box.

4. Time to impose a mask on the desired area. To do so simply choose Select and then Inverse Now you can go in the quick mask mode and see the painted color mask outside the selected area. . It will show your final mask! You are free now to save it and enjoy!
You can save the selection by going back in the standard mode. To save the selection, choose Select, Save Selection. A dialogue box will pop up named save selection.
Name it and then click OK.
